Vista del Mar is an artist residency located in Pebble Beach, just steps from Spanish Bay along California’s central coast, near Big Sur, a landscape that has shaped generations of artistic production, from Big Little Lies to Big Sur, as well as the photographic work of Ansel Adams and the cultural legacy of Clint Eastwood.The residency focuses on painting, sculpture, landscape architecture, music, and photography, offering artists a setting deeply connected to coastal ecosystems and environmental dynamics. As a fully funded program, Vista del Mar supports the development of new work while emphasizing ecology, sustainability, and circular economy principles within contemporary art practices.
Through site-responsive creation and interdisciplinary exchange, Vista del Mar positions artistic production as a critical tool for engaging with and reimagining the relationship between culture, environment, and long-term ecological responsibility.
